WICHITA — The Kansas Turnpike Authority released a new online account management system this week, making managing a K-TAG account easier and faster.
“Our customers have been asking for more ways to manage their K-TAG account and we’ve been listening,” said Gary Culbertson, K-TAG Customer Service Manager.
The new K-TAG online account management system includes the long-awaited ability to add a tag to an existing account. Other features allow customers to deactivate a tag and to update account information. The new system is accessible through http://www.myktag.com and includes additional security features to protect customer information.
Customers logging on to the new system for the first time will be required to reset their password. During the next week, customers should expect intermittent changes, as the system is fine-tuned.
“This new tool provides the convenience of online bill payment, account information updates, ordering a new K-TAG and much more,” said Rachel Bell, KTA Marketing and Communications Director, who oversees K-TAG and its customer service functions.
The new K-TAG account management system joins the PayIt app as another tool to assist K-TAG customers in managing their accounts. The PayIt app, released last December, provides the ability to manage a K-TAG account from a mobile device. While the app has limited functionality now, improvements are planned. The app is available on the App Store, Google Play or at payitapp.com/Kansas.
“These changes are just the beginning,” said Bruce Meisch, KTA Director of Technology. “Additional account management features are planned later this year.”
