A state imposed burn ban will be in effect for Butler County residents and many surrounding counties during the month of April.
The ban will begin April 1 and go through the 30th. It does include current permit holders. Open burns with permits can resume after April 30 by those with permits.
Included in the ban are the burning are any waste, vegetation, wood, structures or other materials on any premises. Exceptions include pasture, crop, range, wildlife or watershed management for pieces of property in excess of 40 acres. Permits will still be required to burn for those uses.
