ANDOVER – Tickets still remain for Saturday night’s Concert In The Park, featuring country superstars Clint Black and opening act John Michael Montgomery.
City of Andover spokeperson Jennifer McCausland tells AndoverLeader.Com that as of 10:00 AM, that approximately 6,738 tickets have already been sold, and the city is expecting many more to be purchased through the beginning of tomorrow night’s event.
“One thing people need to remember is that tickets can only be bought online.” McCausland said. “We are not selling any tickets at the gate. You can still buy them right up to the beginning of the concert, however, if you come without a ticket, you’ll need a phone or some way to access your ticket from our online portal.”
Black is known for a string of number one hits such as “Like The Rain”, “A Bad Goodbye”, “Better Man”, and “Nobody’s Home”. Signed to RCA Records in 1989, the New Jersey native peeled off as many as five number one hits in one album”Killin’ Time” which included the smash hit of the same name. He has had more than 30 singles on the US Billboard country charts, twenty-two of which have reached number one, in addition to having released twelve studio albums and several compilation albums.
Montgomery’s career has been successful in his own right, with hits such as “Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident”, “I Can Love You Like That”, “I Swear”, “I Love The Way You Love Me”, and others. Thirteen of his songs have been top ten hits, and he has released some ten studio albums.
