EL DORADO – Leadership Butler is currently seeking nominations for the 2018 Adult Leadership class. The program offers community leadership development for individuals who live and/or work in Butler County. It is an extensive program that will run January through April with participants attending 8 full day sessions every other Thursday beginning with a two day retreat on January 18th and 19th.
The Leadership Butler Adult program curriculum is designed from over 13 years of research and training through the Kansas Health Foundation, the Kansas Leadership Center and from collaborative efforts with other community leadership programs as well as experiences from previous classes.
“Leadership Butler has been growing and developing leaders in Butler County for 29 years,” according to Executive Director Jennifer Stanyer. “Each class is diverse in the experiences, talents and skills that participants bring to the group, while growing and developing as leaders themselves. It’s a great opportunity to meet people from throughout the county, while developing life-long relationships and leadership skills that can be applied to all aspects of one’s life.”
Sessions are held in communities throughout Butler County and focus on building and developing leaders at all levels in an organization, providing them with tools and capacities they can apply to their home, work and volunteer lives. Graduates of the program are required to attend 8 full day sessions, actively participate and assist with a class project and co-facilitate at least one session to the following year’s class.
Nominations for the Leadership Butler Adult Program will be accepted until October 3, 2017 with applications due October 13, 2017. Partial Scholarship are available and may be requested at the time of application. Nomination forms, applications and more information can be found at: www.leadershipbutlerinc.org.
