Netflix had released the first South African Web Series in 2020 named Queen Sono. It was much appreciated by fans who were well entertained by the series and this was a good reason to trigger a second season. It is a story of a spy named Queen Sono with six episodes in the first season. Queen Sono is seen protecting her country and while doing so she has to fight with a war with traitors and a war within herself. Moreover, she wants to solve the murder mystery of her mother who was against racism between black and white.

Written and directed by Kagiso Lediga Queen Sono is being portrayed by South African actress Pearl Thusi. Amongst the huge fan following the major reception was seen from the widespread African viewers across the globe. Season one did not end with a story that answered all questions which give us a hint that a sequel will definitely be on cards. 

What we can expect to see in season two is our lead character going across African lands and be more ferocious while handling challenges there. The story also is about revenge and many secrets about her family being revealed. This is not an end there is her messed-up love life which she has to sort too. Well, it should not surprise us if we see Pearl Thus playing Sono Queen, Kate Liquorish, Sechaba Morojele,  Khathu Ramabulana, Chi Mhende, Loyiso Madinga, Vuyo Dabula, Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa, and Rob Van Vuuren as the cast of season two of Queen Sono. While we are talking about season two, Netflix has not shared any news about the release of the same. This could be because of the prevailing pandemic conditions across the globe.

 Because of the Corona Virus, all the projects in the entertainment world have been put on hold till an indefinite date of release or a date in 2021 or 2022. We can expect the same for Queen Sono as well but there is no official statement from the production house.
