It happened as a protest was going on nearby, according to the prosecutor. The incident was caught on camera. And according to the Fulton County district attorney Paul Howard, the arrest warrant has been issued against the 6 police officers.

He said that among them, 4 police officers were caught repeatedly using stun guns against the victims, names messiah young and Haniya pilgrim. He also requested for their quick arrest as there’s every evidence that is needed and there’s no reason to wait.

They drove off, but as the car was stuck in traffic, police caught up with them and tried to force open the door. They struck the window and also used stun guns. Young suffered some injuries and was taken to the hospital. After the video got viral, the Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms canceled charges against Young and fired 2 police officers.

Now, the 2 police officers have filed a lawsuit and claimed their job back. The lawsuit reads as “their use of force was proper and in compliance with the law, the policies of the Atlanta Police Department, prevailing standards of law enforcement, and the training provided to them through the City of Atlanta Police Department and the State of Georgia.”.
The other 4 officers have been placed on deck duty. It’s still not determining what disciplinary actions they are going to face.

The lawsuit of dismissed officers reads that they were fired without an investigation or hearing, and there was no proper notice either. While one of the police officers has been charged with aggravated assault or aiming a gun or pistol at another person, the other has been charged with aggravated assault. This was revealed by the court documents. We hope that investigation begins and they get reinstalled to work if they aren’t guilty. Till Then, stay tuned with us for more such latest updates.
