A carjacking incident has been reported from Chicago. It took place at around 10 am on a Sunday morning. An 82-year-old man was driving his car through the roads. That’s when he was stopped by a group of teenagers. According to police, they all were aged 14 to 20 years old.
They forcefully pulled him out of the car. They also threw some of his belongings on the road and then jacked his car.
The man to whom the car belonged stood on the side of the road watching them drive away his car. He couldn’t do anything. The footage was captured in a surveillance camera.
There were many children and they were riding bicycles. The bicycles were rented under the Divvy program, a bicycle-sharing program. But there were so many of them that all of them couldn’t fit in the car. So, some of them pedaled behind the car.
This isn’t the first that such an incident has occurred. The carjacking incident has been reported continuously from Chicago.
And most of them are done by teens. A group of African American teens allegedly victimized many people for snatching their cars and property at gunpoint.
The Trump administration has been adamant at bringing down such crimes. So, they have launched operation legend and parts of Chicago are under its purview.
The operation has been named after a 4-year kid in Kansas who was shot by a bullet while sleeping. For more such latest news stay tuned with us.
