9-year-old Jordan Gorman, whose parents claimed he ran off after an argument with them, has not been seen in several days. Now, many other law enforcement agencies have joined to help search for the boy.
Jordan Allen Gorman was last seen on Sunday around noon at his home in Ashland City off of Valley View Road in Cheatham County. The boy’s parents stated that he was upset after an argument with them and ran off.
Ken Miller, Cheatham County Sheriff’s Lieutenant, said that the authorities have resumed the search for Jordan on Tuesday morning. Police have been searching the neighbourhood and all the surrounding areas but have not been able to find him yet.
Now, there is an AMBER Alert that has been issued for Jordan after “new information and growing concern about the well-being” as per the police, reported Clarkesville Now.
15 officers were sent from the Clarkesville Police Department to Cheatham County on Tuesday to help with the search. All residents around Valley View road have also been asked to thoroughly search their properties for any place a child could be hiding.
According to The Tennessean, Jordan’s parents lost a son, 24, to a car crash in 2011. They have adopted several children since then, Jordan being one of them, alongside four others.
Jordan does not have a cellphone or any other electronic device but cellphones of family members are being searched for clues. So far, police have not named anyone as a suspect. They are just doing everything they can and eliminating any concerns. The FBI has also been called in to assist in the search.
Gerald Prior, who has known the family for a few years, stated positively that the parents could not have had anything to do with the disappearance and called them “amazing”.
The area around the residence has steep and rough terrains and drop-offs. The authorities think it is a “race in time” to locate Jordan, who is a small boy for his age.
He stands at four feet and weighs 75 pounds. He’s a white male with brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a gray short-sleeved T-shirt with red stripes on the arms and blue jeans. He may not be wearing shoes.
Anyone with any information has been asked to contact the authorities at once.
