A man allegedly trying to avoid prison exposed by a typo on the death certificate.

A strange incident was reported from nausea county. A man, in order to avoid the sentence, faked his death by issuing a fake death certificate and submitting the same to the officials through his attorney.

The man is named Robert Berger and he is 25 years old. He had two charges on his name. One was that of 4tg degree possession of the stolen property. Now, he has been charged with these new charges of fake instruments. He had pleaded guilty to both of the earlier charges.

He was set to be sentenced when his attorney said that his client had died and submitted a death certificate proving the same. He said that he had obtained the certificate from Robert’s fiance. However, something looked wrong to the officials.

Upon closer inspection, they found that the “registry” was spelled wrong. There were inconsistencies related to font and size. So, upon confirmation with the certificate issuing authority, officials confirmed that it was fake.

However, the attorney says that he wasn’t part of the conspiracy and didn’t know about the certificate being fake. Prosecutors believe the same too. Attorney said that he had never seen anything like this in his 25 years of experience.

Signals said in a statement that “Submitting fake documents to prosecutors is always a bad idea, and while he’d have been caught regardless, failure to use spell check made this alleged fraud especially glaring,”

Robert was found jailed in Pennsylvania for an unrelated crime. Now he will be extradited to the nausea county. For more such latest news stay tuned with us.
