A man in South Georgia of age 18 is charged for the brutal homicide of Alazia a.k.a. “Ally” Johnson in Tifton, earlier this week.
On Saturday, Semaj Antonio Moss was taken under custody in Lowndes County, which is about 50 miles south of Tifton, says the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
At present, Moss is facing the charges for felony murder, malice and assault. He is returned to the Tift County, says Chief Steve Hyman of Tifton police in a news conference on Sunday.
On Tuesday, the Tifton County police responded to a call from the place where Alazia resided along with her mother. After returning from work her mother found her daughter dead.
Tegina Brown, Alazia’s mother told to the WALB News 10 that, “I have to work to support my kids. I had to go to work that night. And I just came home and found my baby.”
No further details were revealed by the Tifton police or GBI about the murder or motive. They say the investigation is still ongoing.
According to the officials, the autopsy results are still pending.
