Coronavirus cases in America are soaring high. It is reporting more cases on a daily basis than ever. After being hit by the virus, the whole of America was put under lockdown although it took a huge toll on the economy. But it was expected that by the time the country reopens, everything would be back to normal.
However, exactly the contrary happened. Now that almost the whole of the country has reopened due to the economic crisis, the cases are rising at a higher rate than before. The positivity rate is increasing too. So, it has no other option but to roll back into Lockdown, and exactly that thing is happening.
Bars in many counties of California have been ordered to close down. In many states, dine-in services are being restricted. And in many cases, store owners themselves are closing down keeping in mind the current situation and the wellbeing of their employees and customers. This includes Apple too.
The tech giant has closed down 30 stores across the US out of which 15 stores are located in southern California, one of the worst-hit areas. The company said in an official statement that
“Due to current COVID-19 conditions in some of the communities we serve, we are temporarily closing stores in these areas,” the company said in a statement. “We take this step with an abundance of caution as we closely monitor the situation and we look forward to having our teams and customers back as soon as possible.”
Apple was one of the pioneer companies to apply COVID-19 safety measures at their stores. They mandated masks and temperature checked everyone who got into the store. So, it looks sensible on the part of the company to close down its stores in this situation. For more such latest news, stay tuned with us.
