Big Swole, an AEW wrestler, has announced her departure from the business after not extending her contract.
Swole announced the news on Twitter on Tuesday (November 30), stating she and AEW CEO Tony Khan had reached an agreement.
Swole (actual name Aerial Hull) stated in her statement: “My life has taken on the phrase “grow, learn, and evolve” during the last few months. It needed the courage to deal with shadow work. I had no idea I had it.
“I thank God for my wonderful family, who helped me get through some of the most difficult months of my life.”
“However, I discovered that the true test is applied. So I took the plunge, and after consulting with TK and AEW upper management, we agreed not to extend my contract with All Elite Wrestling.”
“This was a difficult but necessary decision. I appreciate their patience and the fact that we were able to reach this deal together.”
“I have had a great time working with AEW and wish them all the success. I am grateful for their love and acceptance of me into their family.”
“Today is my final day, and while it is heartbreaking, I am pleased to say that I have fulfilled my dreams while making a difference. That is the Swole Mindset.”
Swole joined AEW in 2019. Her most recent pay-per-view appearance came in August when she competed in the Women’s Casino Royal at All Out.
She had previously participated in the YouTube programs AEW Dark and AEW Dark Elevation but has not appeared on Dynamite since December 2020.
With an AEW Plus membership, you can watch AEW Dynamite each Thursday at 1 am in the UK and Rampage every Saturday at 3 am on FITE. Both series are also available on TNT in the United States, and Dynamite reruns appear on ITV4 in the United Kingdom.
