During the lockdown period, bars and restaurants in New York were suffering heavily as there was not a single customer, and dine in services were not allowed to. To tackle the situation, the governor had issued an order that allowed the resultants and bars takeout service.
The service was an instant hit as some of the resultant owners claimed that their revenue went up to 90% after the order was passed. Some even went on saying that their businesses could be saved just because of this order.
Now, this takeout service was an instant hit. So, the order was extended twice before. The order was coming to an end this Saturday. But seeing the situation, it has been extended for an indefinite period. The resultant owners hope that this is a life extension and the order may never get repealed.
One pizza shop owner Croc said that “Thank god. I’m very happy. It definitely is an extension of a lifeline,” “Takeout alcohol in conjunction with the delivery and outdoor seating, we’re getting about, I’d say about 20 percent of our business back,”
Although dine-in services in the State have resumed again, there are not even half the customers compared to what was before Pandemic. Many people still prefer to stay at home during this time as the Pandemic is not over yet.
