On Sunday a 13 years old California girl, Isabella Cortes was killed and his brother who was 8 years old was injured in a carjacking that unfolded. The Parents of the children were purchasing food in a nearby restaurant when this incident happened.
According to the Los Angles County Sheriff’s Department, Jose Aguilar who is 26 years old jumped in the front seat of the car with an intention of carjacking. The car had had four siblings sitting on the backseat of the car. the siblings were 18, 13, 11, and 8 years old.
As the reporter said that Aguilar was yelling at them to get off the car, the 18 years old daughter was struggling with Aguilar and was jumped or pushed off from the car, a moment later her 11 years old brother was also either jumped or pushed off from the car.
The 11 and 18 years old sibling suffered minor injuries as they were out of the van soon but 13 and 8 years old sibling remained in the speeding van. The Police said that 8 years old boy suffered serious injuries as he was ejected from the van which was driven between 45 to 50 m/h. Cortes died at the scene.
Aguilar crashed the stolen van. Aguilar again tried to steal a car that had a man’s wife and child inside. The man chocked Aguilar and waited until the Police arrived at the spot.
On Sunday’s incident, Aguilar was charged with murder, carjacking, and kidnapping.
