Pennsylvania is ready to re-open its Capitol Building to public on June 22, as the state moves into the green phase of COVID-19 pandemic. Good news for all the people. On Wednesday, the department of General Services announced that Capitol Building in Harrisburg will reopen to the public with revised safety protocols. The east wing and North Office Building entrances will be opened and accessible for the public, all the visitors will be required to wear mask and follow to the social distancing protocols. Hand sanitizer stations will be placed at the entrance made accessible to the public.
Every possible arrangement are going to be made, for the public and prevention and mitigation messages would be posted throughout the Capitol, and the government has requested all those people to not visit the Capitol, who are sick or are unwell as the government doesn’t wants to take any risks again and make the country to enter that phase again. It is necessary and essential at the same time and hopefully, everyone will follow these guidelines and norms to avoid any causality or contact with the virus. Though, it sounds dangerous but nothing can be closed for forever.
Though, all the scheduled events remains cancelled till July 5th. The department’s office of special events said that it will work accordingly and will resume rescheduling events for after July 5th that will take place at different venues including the Front Capitol Steps and Soldiers Grove. For precautionary measures against COVID-19 no events are going to happen in the interior space of the Capitol and further guidance will be issued in this matter. It is good to see that the government is taking all the possible guideline to stop any further spread of the deadly virus, and trying to protect its entire people as well as having a well analyzed re- opening, which shows its organised strategies and coordination.
Everything is falling on its place slowly, the pandemic too can end soon if everyone cooperates and follows government’s guidelines.
