Kevin Fredericks, better known as KevOnStage, began his professional career as a comedian more than a decade ago, developing an independent brand with millions of social media followers.
In 2013, he chose to go to Los Angeles in order to further his career, expecting that Hollywood would be filled with prospects for someone with such a large fan following and a unique kind of humor.
That was not the situation, and despite Fredericks’ independent success, which included regular hilarious viral videos and multiple sold-out, independently sponsored tours, Fredericks just could not manage to land the big break on film he desired.
That is when he chose to begin KevOnStage Studios, his own streaming platform.

“I was tired of pitches going nowhere, so I decided to launch.” I was trying to promote place after place, only to get failure after failure. A few pilots. Some people do not follow up.”
“I grew weary of it and decided I would produce the things I wanted and hope to reach an audience to see them,” Fredericks explained to Because Of Them We Can.
The new streaming site focuses on recognizing material created by Black creatives and providing opportunities to other aspiring comedians. On the main site, the tagline says, “You have browsed to the end of Netflix a million times. “Be truthful, you require something else.”
“You may anticipate information tailored to your interests. You will understand the humor. On the screen, you will be depicted. It is basically unscripted right now. “However, we are shifting toward scripted programming this year,” Fredericks remarked.
KevOnStage Studios is currently viable for iPhone, Apple TV, AndroidTV, Roku, and FireTV downloads.
