Alex George, the star of Love Island announced that he and his girlfriend Amelia Bath are breaking up.
The popular personalities of reality TV, who returned from the journey of the NHS, as soon as his time ended on the ITV2 show, updated an Instagram story announcing that the duo has decided to break-up.
George’s post reads, “Guys just want to let you know, Amelia and I have decided to go our separate ways.” To this comment, he further adds, “As you know, we’ve been apart for most of the lockdown which has been hard on us both and we both agree this is for the best.”
“We will remain good friends and I have nothing but respect for Amelia. Thank you for the love and support always,” George concludes.
The duo’s relationship started by the end of 2018, while he also shared a pic of the couple together on his Instagram profile just a week before they decided to go on their separate ways.
George was actively working throughout the coronavirus pandemic, while he used his social media platform to spread the awareness of how to stay safe and maintain good health.
However, the chances of Love Island to get broadcasted this fall is very low due to the widespread of the pandemic. Therefore, ITV2 is showing, the repeat of an Australian series from 2018, about which the viewers had several complaints about its white line-up.
Perhaps, the series to be aired in the winter fall was also aborted, however, the broadcaster promised rather air an extended summer run.
