The first season of the series had received disappointing ratings. However, CBS revealed that it was their most-watched new tv show. That is the reason the show was greenlighted for a second season way back in August 2019.

Kevin Lugo said that Kevin Lygo, Director of Television at ITV, explained: “We have tried every which way to make Love Island this summer but logistically it’s just not possible to produce it in a way that safeguards the wellbeing of everyone involved and that for us is the priority.”

“We are very sorry for fans of the show but making it safe is our prime concern and Love Island will be back stronger than ever in 2021.” For more such latest news stay tuned with us.
