Film by Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire was Banned in U.S. and Canada

The film, Don’s Plum which was starred by Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire, had an overwhelming response from the audience but was banned from screening in the United States and Canada. A controversy which involved the director, R D Robb, led to the banning of the movie screening in both U.S. and Canada.

The duo who had paired as lead roles in the film are critically acclaimed and excellent actors. Based on a short trivia on IMDb, R D Robb had “filed a $10 million lawsuit against Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire” which resulted in legal complications leading to the ban. It is a speculated controversy, and some of them even claim that, the director had approached the actors, by promising them a short film but later he had allegedly attempted to make a feature film.

The lead actors expressed their dissatisfaction to the director, in response to which he “threatened to pit charges against them”. According to sources, the very lawsuit was based on the fact that the production companies did not wish to offend DiCaprio. A settlement agreement was made which stated that the movie will not be released in U.S. and Canada.
