The first batches of the COVID-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer is out in trucks for mass distribution. According to various sources, “shipments of the Pfizer vaccine will set in motion the biggest vaccination effort in American history at a critical juncture of the pandemic that has killed 1.6 million and sickened 71 million worldwide”.
Authorities have claimed that the first shipments will be arriving in 145 distribution centers. The vaccine will also be delivered to various hospitals where they can be stored at “extremely low temperatures — about 94 degrees below zero. Pfizer is using containers with dry ice and GPS-enabled sensors to ensure each shipment stays colder than the weather in Antarctica”.
The vaccine has been deemed safe by medical experts but investigations in the U.K claim that allergic reactions might be the side effects of this vaccine. Another vaccine currently being developed by Modern will be up for approval of the panel during the upcoming week and will be accordingly distributed to the masses.
