Florida has been one of the biggest coronavirus hotspots in America. The state has failed to counter the coronavirus pandemic and has turned out to be one of the hardest-hit states in America.
The State has been reporting new records of daily new cases very frequently. The total cases in Florida have elapsed past 4,00,000 and there are clearly no signs of recovery.
If the cases reported by Florida are combined with that reported by California, Texas, and Arizona, then these 4 states alone report over 50% of the total coronavirus cases in America.
Florida was one of the last states to impose the stay at home restrictions and was one of the first ones to lift the restrictions. That is the reason many experts believe it costs Florida the most.
So, now given the circumstances, high school football has been shifted. Initially, it was scheduled to begin in mid-August that has now been shifted to September. Even the practice season has been postponed for now. Although many coaches wanted the season to start on time, it was not possible due to the current situation.
According to a report in Tampa bay Times “There are no good answers here, There is no perfect scenario where we can conduct football safely in the state of Florida and still conduct every other season of sport in the state of Florida.
We have to be agile. We have to make decisions that we’ve never had to make before because we’re in a circumstance that we have absolutely never been in before.”. For more such latest news stay tuned with us.
