HOW MANY OF THE BEST HORROR MOVIES OF ALL TIME HAVE YOU

Its wild, frightfully shocking , suspense laddened storyline and ability to create a feeling of fear in its audience by featuring supernatural elements such as ghosts, witches, or vampires,  are what makes Horror movies a mysteriously amazing genre worthy of exploration.

Below is a list of top rated horror films. Let’s see how many of them you’d tick as your “already seen” movies.

HALLOWEEN

One of the classic scare films, Halloween has it’s storyline centred around Michael Myers who murders his parents as a child and is institutionalised. He finds his way out of there as an adult and carries on his killing spree. One would wonder if Myers is a human as he lacks anything that can be considered humanity.

NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET

Freddy Krueger, extroverted, was appropriately causing chaos with a burned visage based on cheese pizza. The little man killer although set free due to technicalities, got killed by the mob justice of local parents. Freddy torments their children in their dreams.

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD

Screen writer, George Romero refers to the featured zombies as “ghouls”. With a simple and relatable plot centring upon a pair of siblings who, trying to visit their father’s grave, are set upon by the dead, Night of the Living Dead is a must watch.

THE EXORCIST

Ask if this is the scariest you seen and I’d say yes. The film focuses on a possessed child and a dual priest team sent to exorcise her. The film is one of the horror films to be nominated for Best Picture.

SUSPIRIA

Regarded as one of Dario Argento’s      most awesome movies, Suspiria  is a terrifying, pulsating and haunting film. An American journeys to Germany for a ballet but is shocked to find out that the school is headed by witches. Killings and other heart disturbing experiences follow leaving nearly everyone terrified and restless.
