Lately, California is again becoming one of the major hotspots just like at the beginning of the Pandemic. It has joined other states in the list that are breaking their coronavirus records with each passing day. Those states include Texas, Florida, Arizona, Utah, and some others. The situation is California going worse day by day too.
Just recently, California crossed the mark of 2,00,000 coronavirus cases. In this way, it will soon have a lot of untreated patients as the hospital facilities are running full. In Imperial County, which is the hardest-hit county in the state, the intensive care units are running full-on capacity. That’s why the governor has asked the county to impose a full lockdown.
2 States in the bay area, Los Angeles and Marine have withheld their reopening plans as the cases are spreading rapidly. Although, apart from what he ordered to the imperial County, the governor is reluctant to take any more steps affecting other areas.
Some other hard-hit states such as Florida and Texas have also paused their reopening as of now. They have even imposed restrictions on the businesses that were earlier allowed to reopen, keeping in mind the current situation. So, the question arises is whether it’s time for California to pause its reopening as well?
According to Dr. Shashank Ravi, “I think we do need to pause and see where we’re at,” I think, people are moving across counties more and more, Southern to Northern California, Northern to Southern California, and so we’re seeing more intermingling.”
So, it may be the time for California to pause reopening, as things may start going out of hand. As the cases are already soaring high, not taking appropriate decisions now will only worsen the situation in California. For more such latest news stay tuned with.
