Kristen Bell, 40, has got full support for her husband in midst of his recent relapse.

Bell appeared on the ” Ellen DeGeneres Show” this week and addressed Dax Shepard’s relapse after 16 years of sobriety.

“He is actually doing really great. I mean look, everybody’s up against their own demons. Sometimes it’s anxiety and depression, sometimes it’s substance abuse and the thing I love most about Dax is that he was able to tell me and tell us and say we need a different plan.”

“The Good Place” star also explained that if at any point and for any reason Shepard required medication, she has to administer it, but that plan didn’t last for long.

“He was like, ‘So we need a stronger plan. I was faltering, and I have to do some sort of emotional work to figure out why I wanted to use again,'” she recalled him telling her.

Though Shepard an addiction struggle with substance abuse, his wife, Bell said he is also “addicted” to positive development .

“One of the main reasons I love him is he’s also addicted to growth,” she said. “He’s addicted to evolving. He was like, ‘ I don’t want to risk this family, and I did, so let’s put new things in place to make sure it doesn’t happen again.'”

“I love that he’s addicted to growth, and I will continue to standby him because he’s very, very worth it,” she reinstated her unwavering support.

The couple have also sought therapeutic assistance.
