If Rob Benedict reprises his role, does that mean we will see a battle between heaven and hell?
The long-awaited fifth season of ‘Lucifer’ has finally been confirmed by Netflix and will premiere on August 21. In the beginning, it was announced that only a first part of the season would arrive because the Coronavirus forced to stop filming.
However, that message has now disappeared and it is not known accurately if it will arrive in its entirety or if we will have to wait for a second part. Everything will depend on the amount of production time remaining until its premiere.
Thirsty for the announcement (news) regarding the season, TV Line has announced that one of the guest stars of this season will be Rob Benedict, whom we curiously know for his character as God (also called Chuck Surely) in ‘Supernatural’.
Nevertheless, Benedict’s performance in ‘Lucifer’ will have little to do with it. He will appear in episode 15 in the shoes of Vincent Le Mec, a tough French mercenary whose violent assignment takes him to Los Angeles and across paths with Lucifer, Chloe, and the city police.
Let us remember that, despite years of uncertainty, the continuity of ‘Lucifer’ is no longer under any circumstances. Netflix has already confirmed season 6 which will be, this time yes, the last of the series.
