Man caught 31 times with 1.1 pounds of methamphetamine in central Tennessee county

The office of the Putnam County Sheriff has arrested a man from Cookeville who was found to have methamphetamine on about 1.1 pounds.

It was Gregory Howard ‘s second arrest in two weeks for possession of methamphetamine, police said. Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies along with TBI agents helped in Tuesday’s undercover operation that discovered Howard carrying a half-kilo of meth along with $1,200 in cash.

Authorities claim the market value is valued at $60,000 for the narcotics. The indictment came a week after Howard was hit with around 14 ounces of methamphetamine possession.Overall, police state it is his 31st Putnam County detention. He is reportedly kept on bail of $150,000.
