This highly popular cut-throat cooking competition is going to come back for an eighth season now. Written by Robin Ashbrook, the show offers great opportunities for middle school students, who also happen to be budding chefs, to display their culinary skills.
The children belong in an age range of 8-13 years, participate in a culinary competition, under the supervision and judgement of some of the finest chefs of the world and the winner is awarded with the Masterchef Junior Trophy and a Grand Cash Prize.
The cast of the show, namely the judges will be the same as usual, more or less. Sources have confirmed, “the first four seasons of the show featured Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich and Graham Eliot as judges but Season 7 saw two new judges, Aarón Sanchez and Christina Tosi, on the jury, keeping Ramsay steady and now Chew co-host Daphne Oz is expected to join the Judging Panel along with Ramsay in Season 8”.
Scheduled to be released in May, 2020, the dates were later reshuffled, but nothing has yet been finalized. The audience can expect the show to be aired sometime around in 2021.
