The Kissing Booth 2 is in light right now among teens and young adults. This Netflix show ends with Elle Evans, the protagonist being selected for two high-end colleges, which she doesn’t reveal to her friends.

The movie shows Elle in her senior year of high school and having problems with her boyfriend, Noah Flynn. She leaves Noah to attend the Ivy League Harvard University. Elle is also struggling with her best friend, Lee Flynn who is still mad at former for dating her older brother.

Coming to the ending, Elle hides her acceptance to both Harvard and Berkeley. The question is, WHY? To which Joey King (Elle) said in a statement that Elle is “notorious for trying to make everybody happy, which in turn, the way she goes about it, makes everybody mad in the long run, including herself.”

Throughout the movie, Elle is portrayed as more of a follower. This is the reason why she asks Lee to reveal his application response first. If Lee is not accepted for Berkeley, then Elle can pursue Harvard. But when Lee unfolds that he has been accepted to Berkeley, Elle lies that she is on wait-list for both universities.

Elle’s body language is obviously suggesting she has selected Harvard but telling this to Lee might lead to gradual tear-up of their relationship because Lee already expects them to be classmates in college.

Elle is just buying time to come up with quality excuses for not attending Berkeley. Perhaps she will lie that she was not selected for Berkeley, who knows. Only The Kissing Booth 3 can answer these questions now.
