New Yorkers open up about the spike in crime, street drug use, and homelessness

Lawrence Jones, who is the host at Fox Nation reported on Wednesday that the citizens of New York City are extremely furious related to the recent matters of openly shooting up with drugs. These individuals have been playing around with needles and then they proceed to place the blame squarely with the mayor, Bill de Blasio.

Jones further reported that New York’s quality of life is getting degraded by the day due to the inclusion of gun violence and homelessness. Thus, it is certain that a decline has been observed in the quality of life of New Yorkers.

Covering the same lines, Jones mentioned that many American cities were covered amidst this crisis and said that there’s no such prominent difference between those cities that are being run by Democratic mayors and that of New York City.

Reports have been out stating that 300 homeless people were housed at the Hotel Lucerne which is located on the tony Upper West Side, as reported by the New York Post this week.

According to the reports, the residents were not given any notice before going ahead with these temporary shelter plans. The city’s Department of Homeless Services just stuck to its decision without any formal notice issued.

A woman raised concern over this matter while talking to Jones and said that she is a little concerned, especially because she is a woman working at night and coming home late. She also informed about an incident she saw wherein her neighbor was helping a drug-addled man in crossing the street.

Another resident has said the whole dynamics of the entire community have changed. Reminiscing the good old days spent on the Upper West Side, New York, for 20 years, another woman said that at that time, crime and illicit drug use were sky-high. She spoke about seeing many drug deals go down and wished to never see such days again.
