Pennsylvania: don’t plant the unordered you receive in the mail from china

Pennsylvania residents are being warned by the Pennsylvania agriculture secretary Russel Redding. Some strange unordered seeds are being delivered to the residents from overseas. Russell has advised us to dispose of the seeds and report the same. Many people received such seeds that are mislabeled.

Many suspects that these seeds include weeds and pervasive ants that could harm the lands of Pennsylvania. These seeds are normally labeled jewelry.

This scam is generally known as brushing. Empty packages have been received because of such scams in the past but this time these packages are filled with seeds.

Secretary Redding said that “Seeds sold in Pennsylvania are rigorously tested to ensure that they are genetically pure and regulated to ensure that what’s on the label is what’s in the package,” “Planting seeds without knowing what they are can wreak havoc with our environment, destroy agricultural crops and incur costly control efforts for years to come.”

If someone receives such seeds, he is advised to keep the seeds in the bags and not plant the same. He is further advised to report the incident to the officials. For more such latest news stay tuned with us.
