It was reported by the health officials of Pennsylvania that the state reported no deaths due to coronavirus on Monday.
The total number of deaths due to the deadly virus is 7,209 in the state. New infection due to the virus was 565 according to the state Department of Health. More than 114,000 people in Pennsylvania have tested positive for the virus since the start of the pandemic.
Studies suggest that the number of infections is thought to be far higher than the states confirmed case count because many people can be infected without feeling sick. Deaths in the state are coming down since mid-May while infections have been climbing since mid-June.
Allegheny County reported an increase of 68 cases and Philadelphia reported 71 new cases.
For most people, the virus causes mild symptoms that go away in a couple of weeks. While older adults and people with existing health problems have problems and are at higher risk of more severe illness.
