Red Notice Success

Netflix Red Notice hailed the triumph of the hit film on Tuesday, claiming that more than half of its 214 million customers worldwide had seen it.

On November 5, Netflix released Red Notice, a film featuring A-list Hollywood stars such as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot.

It was also distributed in theatres for those who wanted to see it on the big screen, but it has only made back about $2 million of its $200 million production costs so far.

Red Notice's overall viewership of 328 million hours exceeded Sandra Bullock's Bird Box's previous record of 282 million hours.

Review And Ratings

The picture, which has been seen by half of the platform’s users, has overtaken the previous most-watched picture, which was maintained by the 2018 post-apocalyptic thriller Bird Box featuring Sandra Bullock.

Despite its popularity, Rotten Tomatoes has given the picture a rating of 35% based on 155 ratings and reviews.

Among the negative reviews is a two-star rating in The Guardian, which called the film an overly-complicated effort to replicate the popularity of the Indiana Jones films.

However, 92 percent of viewers disagree, giving it a new rating on the website. In the movie Red Notice, Johnson plays an FBI agent who joins forces with an art thief, portrayed by Reynolds, to apprehend a high-profile criminal, portrayed by Gadot.

Watch Hours

It garnered 328.8 million watching hours in 18 days, compared to Bird Box’s 282 million hours in four weeks. According to Netflix, the movie is now in the top ten categories since its launch in 94 countries.

Because of the film’s popularity, director Rawson Marshall Thurber has discussed the possibility of a sequel.

‘I believe that is a viable option. If we made a sequel, the only reasonable thing to do would be to make two and three back-to-back,’ Thurber told the reporters.
