The Facts of Life, a legendary 1980s comedy, is the newest show to appear in ABC’s “Live in Front of a Studio Audience” series.
Jimmy Kimmel and Norman Lear, the show’s producers and hosts have enlisted the help of Friends legend Jennifer Aniston and Gabrielle Union, and Allison Tolman.

Fans of Jimmy Kimmel and Norman Lear’s Live in Front of a Studio Audience series should rejoice. The Facts of Life live recreation will debut on ABC on Tuesday, December 7 at 8 p.m.
The ABC Network and ABC.com both carry The Facts of Life. Alternatively, Hulu will begin streaming Live With a Studio Audience: The Facts of Life and Diff’rent Strokes on Wednesday, December 8.
Cast
Jennifer Aniston, a Friends superstar, and award-winning actor will portray wealthy Blair in The Facts of Life. The initial Blair was performed by Vocalist, musician, writer, and life coach Lisa Whelchel.
She’s All That epitome Gabrielle Union will play Tootie, the group’s greatest gossip. Kim Fields, who starred in The Upshaws, played the original Tootie.
Fargo actress Allison Tolman plays Natalie, initially portrayed by Mindy Cohn in The Secret Life of an American Teenager.
Tolman took to Instagram to spread the news, posting an official poster for the ABC special with the caption: “So listen, I genuinely can not believe this is happening.”
Kathryn Hahn from WandaVision will play Jo, while Ann Dowd from The Handmaid’s Tale will play Mrs. Garrett.
In the original show, Jo was portrayed by Nancy McKeon, while Mrs. Garrett was performed by the deceased American artist Charlotte Rae.
Kimmel joked on Monday night’s (November 29) episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live about the cast, saying, “I couldn’t find a better bunch than Jennifer Aniston, Allison Tolman, Gabrielle Union, Kathryn Hahn, and Ann Dowd, and I can hardly wait to fix their hairstyle.”
