From this season, Tucson first baseman Carlie Scupin was the main power player for Arizona Gatorade player in this year. Carlie Scupin remarked, “It was something kind of unexpected because of how much talent is in the state,”.
The player was set to have the greatest seasons in the life in southern Arizona softball history but alas the COVID – 19 cancelled her senior season.
Almost all the sporting events have been canceled due to this pandemic. The player said that their final goal is to make it to state and with the state.
The player added further that they couldn’t do this anymore and they were disappointed about this. Carlie Scupin has advised and tried to look forward and prepare for whatever is coming in the future.
Carlie took the award in Hillenbrand Stadium and said that “Arizona is my dream school. I’ve wanted to go there since I was a little kid.” She thanked NCAA granting college seniors for the season of spring eligibility.
The player belted 44 home runs in her career but more tournaments are not possible for this year. There are many trials for the vaccine of COVID – 19 is going on but according to the researchers, at least 18 to 24 months are needed to make any vaccine available.
Till then it’s not possible to organize any tournament even without gatherings. Carlie Scupin is famous for her present at 6-foot height with a gaudy stats.
Scupin, who dedicated to Mike Candrea, Arizona coach before the initiation of her high school. She got the prestigious Arizona Gatorade Player of the Year award for batting performance last year.
Another achievement of her is to lead the Badgers to the 6A state semifinals. From that starting point of her career till now, the player is trying to improve each day. It’s really enjoyable to watch the performance of the player.
