Avatar 2 Cast
Sam Worthington reprises his role as Jake Sully, a former human soldier who became a permanent member of the Na’avi. He is joined by Zoe Saldana, reprising her role as Neytiri. The couple became romantically interested in each other in the first film. Mo’at, played by CCH Pounder, is Neytiri’s mother.
Jake and Neytiri will have their own family this time. Jamie Flatters play Neteyam, Lo’ak is played by Britain Dalton, and Tuktirey, the couple’s youngest child, is played by Trinity Bliss. Jake and Neytiri adopt a Pandora-born human named Jack Champion, a.k.a. Javier “Spider” Socorro.
Edie Falco plays a nefarious RDA member as General Ardmore.
Michelle Yeoh is also a newcomer. Dr. Karina Mogue will be her character. We now know that Yeoh will appear in Avatar 3 thanks to a statement posted on Instagram by producer Jon Landau.
In the upcoming film, Jemaine Clement will play marine biologist, Dr. Ian Garvin. “I’ve loved Jemaine for years,” James Cameron said of Ian Garvin’s casting, “and I’m happy that he’ll be joining our cast as one of my favorite characters” (via Variety).
What Does “The Way Of Water” In Avatar 2 Refer To?
According to the official synopsis, “Avatar: The Way of Water begins the narrative of Jake, Neytiri, and their children, as well as the turmoil that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the fights they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.” For more information on this comic book, please visit ComicBook.com.
The plot of the film revolves around a family. “I think Jim [Cameron’s] movies consistently write in universal ideas that are broader than any one genre,” Landau said in an interview with Total Film.
“You have to admit that the most universal of all themes is family.” The Sullys are central to each of our sequels. Are there any specific dynamics that parents face when attempting to keep their family safe?”
According to the summary, the RDA mining operation will return to Pandora, wreaking havoc. As a result, Jake, Neytiri, and their children are taken to the reef below, where they will be safe.
The Metkayina clan lives on the reef, according to Landau. “The Sullys have left the safety of the jungle and have arrived in an unfamiliar location.” A fish out of water transforms into a fish in water. They’re culturally and ecologically like a fish out of water.”
