Giuliana Rancic is recovering from her coronavirus bout.
According to People, the 46-year-old TV character shared the good news with a worried follower on Instagram on Friday.
How do you feel about Covid? “The person on Friday asked Rancic.
We’re over it, and now we’re feeling happier. Thanks for asking. We appreciate it,’ answered Rancic.
Last month, Rancic told the public that she and her family had contracted coronavirus shortly before the Emmy Awards.
“Hey, everyone. As I’m going for my 20th year on E! I have to admit that I do not take lightly skipping an award show, but sadly, it’s just too different this year,’ Rancic said in an Instagram video she posted on Sept. 20-the same day as the Emmys.
As part of the game E! I found out that I tested positive for COVID-19, particularly before an event like this, and NBCUniversal’s very strict testing guidelines, she added. Now, as much as I didn’t want to hear it, I’m very glad that I had heard it before I had traveled, and that I would have been able to expose other people. But I’m grateful for that.
At the time, Rancic’s husband, Bill, 49, and son, Duke, 8, were also contaminated, she said.
We all do well and take care of each other, so I’m going to do it again. But I also want to say that I wish you all the best, “she said,” and please protect yourself and those around you. Take good care and on the next red carpet, I’ll see you.
In 2011, Rancic, after being diagnosed with breast cancer, underwent a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery.
According to Susan G. Komen, a global nonprofit breast cancer organization, breast cancer patients who are seeking care could have a “weakened” immune system that may raise the “chance of becoming sick from COVID-19.”
