Alyssa Dayvault of North Myrtle Beach is charged with homicide by maltreatment and destruction, desecration or removal of human remains and her trial is predicted to start on Tuesday.
Police said Dayvault admitted to parturition to a baby boy at her range in December 2018. She allegedly told authorities she didn’t seek medical treatment and did not personally take action to aim to save lots of the infant’s life. The arrest warrant states that Alyssa then put the child’s body in an ashcan at her North Myrtle Beach home without notifying authorities.
Dayvault also reportedly told police she’d born to a different child, a daughter, in November 2017. That situation allegedly had an equivalent outcome, consistent with enforcement.
The Post and Courier report Dayvault is accused of removing that daughter during a dumpster shortly after birth at a North Myrtle Beach apartment.
The Myrtle Beach Sun News reports Dayvault was scheduled to be in Horry County court, but she did not show Monday for her first day unproved. Her lawyers said they need not speak to Dayvault since last week. She is going to now face trial in her absence.
