A pair of high school sweethearts who fell in love with each other and were married for 53 years died together from coronavirus holding hands side-by-side during their last moments.
Their son Time Tarpley gave more information about the matter and said that his parents, Curtis and Betty were diagnosed with the infectious disease Covid-19 at the same time in June.
Following which his mother had to be admitted to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.
His father also saw the same fate and was admitted to the hospital shortly after. Tim later informed that his mom was declining faster and called him to say that it’s time for her to go.
Tim yelled and screamed aloud hearing it and then called his dad who was admitted on a different floor of the hospital.
On reaching his dad, Tim got an immediate question from him asking ‘How’s your mom?’. Tim did tell him the truth stating that his mom was in a condition that branched out more possibilities of her not making it for another day.
They knew it was difficult for her to stay longer. Tim later added that the nurses made the best efforts to keep his parents together during this difficult time, especially the one named Blake.
Blake made out of the way efforts to make sure that the beautiful couple spent their last moments together in the same room.
He made all the relevant arrangements and moved Tim’s parents together in a single room while they both were taking their last breaths.
Blake then just placed both of their hands near each other and the couple was seen grabbing each other’s hands and taking their final breaths in.
This was their way of portraying and conveying their eternal love for each other.
They went away with fascinating memories for even Tim to remember as he made a statement that the gesture shown by the nurses and everyone around was that of ‘unsung heroes’ whom he wouldn’t be able to thank enough.
