The assistant of tech CEO found decapitated charged with murder.

The Department of Police in New York has charged a technical contractor’s managing assistant with a second-degree murder earlier this week, who discovered decapitation and dismemberment.

Fahim Saleh, 33, was found dead in his apartment in New York City on Tuesday. Death was officially considered murder, the cause being multiple stab wounds to the neck and torso.

Saleh’s former executive assistant, Tyrese Haspel, 21, was arrested Friday and hit with second-degree murder charges, the NYPD said.

Police said Haspel used a Taser to immobilize Saleh before stabbing him to death. Saleh’s head, arms, and legs severed.

Saleh co-founded Pathao, a Bangladesh-based ride-share app. In recent years, he was CEO of Gokada, a Nigerian based motorcycle sharing and delivery company that faced financial disruptions and recently put most of its employees on the table.

The motive for the assassination appeared to be a money dispute.

NYPD Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison said that Haspel owed Saleh a “significant amount of money.” Police sources put the amount over $100,000.

Detectives also recovered text messages between the two that indicated Saleh accused Haspel of stealing the money, sources said.

The sources also said that Haspel tracked using his credit card, which is believed to have been paid for by Saleh. The credit card used for the purchase of the electric saw found in the apartment of the victim, also used to pay to and from the suspects.

Sources said that the same credit card used to pay for a car service to Home Depot where the suspect had purchased cleaning supplies.

It was not immediately clear if Haspel had obtained an attorney.

Saleh’s body was found by his cousin on Tuesday afternoon, according to the police.

“The papers speak of the tragedy we can’t grasp,” said Saleh’s family in a statement earlier this week. “Fahim’s much more than you hear, he’s much more than you ‘re hearing.

His bright and creative spirit led those that were part of his life on a ride and made sure that he would never leave anybody behind. Fahim achieved fame at an early age and expanded on it year after year while staying focused and dedicated to supporting others.

“Even though he cared about the general good and his family, he did that, no matter what he did” continued the post. “Their parents and sisters were theirs, their glories. There are no words and deeds to reassure us, except for the capture of the person who showed our beloved nothing but evil.
