Netflix has a plethora of very fascinating content from all around the world, and some of the best shows are produced in South Korea. Squid Game, Hellbound, Kingdom, and Sweet Home are just a few of the excellent Netflix original shows, and The Silent Sea is set to be yet another instantly compelling spectacle that will have viewers hooked to the screen until the credits roll.
The Netflix series is based on Choi Hang-short Yong’s film The Sea of Tranquility, which was written and directed by Choi Hang-Yong, who also serves as the show’s director. The intriguing novel is set in a fascinating future in which the Earth has been severely desertified, resulting in a severe lack of food and water.
When will The Silent Sea be released?
The Silent Sea will be available on Netflix on December 24, 2021. On the Netflix Geeked Twitter feed, the release date was revealed.

The Silent Sea’s official cast, which features several familiar faces from Netflix’s most popular shows, can be seen below. Kingdom’s Bae Doona and Squid Game’s Gong Yoo and Heo Sung-Tae are among the cast members for the sci-fi series.
