Over the past few months, we have reported you a lot of crimes from the new york city m it seems that the crime rate is raging high in the new york city. Most of the crimes were either homicides or public gunfire, although there were many other crimes as well. Although, a shocking revelation has been made.

The arrest has gone significantly down from last year. This year, there have been close to 85,000 attests from the 1st of June to the 9th of August. This is a massive 39% down from the same time last year, although there has not been a similar reduction in the crime rate.

Many have questioned why arrests have gone down. Police have said that they are now focusing more on big crimes and letting go of arrest for petty crimes. Tye George Floyd protests and pandemic also played a part in it.

Although some think that attests are reduced even for smaller crimes, then the crimes will only further increase.

A former NYPD lieutenant commander, Joseph Pollini said that “If there’s nobody taking hard-core police action on the streets, from the lowest level to the highest level, it creates a big kink in the system,”.

Indeed, his words seem right following the context but there are many who believe the contrary. For more such latest news stay tuned with us.
