A man used the dating app tinder to get a woman to meet him. When he met with a woman, he allegedly tried to rape and kidnap her. However, the woman was able to break free in the middle of the assault.
Patrol Deputies had received a call on early Saturday morning that reported about kidnap and an attempt to rape. They quickly responded to the call to a home in Fresno, California.
The suspect has been named Fabian Orleans of Fresno, California, a 30-year-old man. He created a fake profile in tinder by the name Dominick. Through this account, he tried to compel a woman to meet him that evening.
Fresno County Sheriff’s office released a statement on social media saying “After making a match with the woman online, Fabian arranged to meet with her in person,” “After spending some time together, the victim attempted to leave, but Fabian forced himself on her and attempted to rape her.
The woman was able to break free during the middle of the assault and fled the area. She then called the Sheriff’s Office to make a report.”
After the report was made, detectives searched the home of the Orleans and concluded that he might have done similar crimes in the past too. Detectives are now asking people to contact them who feel themselves the victims of his crimes.
Orleans has been detained by the police and is facing various charges including that of sexual assault and rape. His bail has been valued at $243,500.
