An Illinois mother was arrested with an alleged domestic abuse incident. Bophanary Om, 39, was charged on Sunday, says the Lake County Sheriff’s office.
Deputies said they dispatched to a local residence at about 9:30 p.m. They arrived to satisfy with the 39-year-old victim, authorities said. He had sustained what they described as a “serious wound” to the top.
According to investigators, Om and therefore the man lived together at the house. The defendant allegedly got mad that the victim peed in bed, so she attacked him with a machete, hence the top wound.
The boyfriend taken to a hospital and expected to recover, deputies said.
Om kept a bond in Lake County Prison instead of $30,000. He prosecuted the felony domestic assault, the violent abuse with a lethal weapon, and two charges of violation with the domestic violence, compliant with the sheriff’s office.
The suspect is set for a disciplinary hearing to be held on 25 August at 9 a.m. Central time. Regional time. Her past counsel, a counsel, did not respond directly to Law&Crime’s request for comments.
In other news of women with blades, Connecticut woman Juanita Bentley arrested for allegedly attacking her boyfriend with what cops described as a “samurai type sword.” She ended up pleading guilty to second-degree assault within the March 2017 incident. A 2018 Utah incident led to much more ghastly fashion. In August 2018, Duane Youd crashed a plane into his home just hours after he arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife, police said.
